How does a CoaguChek INRange machine work?

The first thing to do is check with your doctor for the INR range your blood needs to be in. Then take a test strip out before pricking your finger. Place the end of the test strip onto the blood dot produced by your finger prick before inserting the strip into the CoaguChek INRange machine. The machine will take less than a minute to provide an accurate test result — eliminating the need to worry about taking too much or too little warfarin. Blood that is too thin increases the chance of falling, excessive bleeding, bruising or heart attack. Blood that is too thick can cause organ failure, clotting and seizures. With modern technology you no longer need frequent doctors' appointments, as you can test from home. If you are a medical professional, you can now safely and quickly test your clients' blood thickness wherever you are.
